Karting booked - Saturday 24th, please be there by 5.15pm. It is £32 each - probably easiest to bring it along on the day and give it to me then, if anyone wants to bank transfer though give me a shout.

For those who have not been before: note that it is a *very* good idea to wear soft shoes while doing this. Open toe footwear and high heels are banned. You'll get given a helmet and race suit and gloves when you get there so whatever clothes you are wearing will be protected.

We get 15 minutes practice to get used to the karts and the course and then a 15 min race.

Anyone want to see Indiana Jones and the Crystal Maze (or whatever it is) that day also? Could meat up in soton earlier in the day for that and then bus over to bishopstoke for the karting... let me know what you think.

Weekend of the 24th sounds good to me.

I'm theoretically busy partaking in exercise on the 17th/18th - bicycle outing in the New Forest. You lot don't need to know this, but having it written down somewhere I check reasonably often might help me remember it.

On that note, I might try adding communal calendar capabilities to the Warbeck. It might help in our respective human herding exercises. Or not. Just an idea.

I thought the Gosportshire one looked slightly better than the Eastleigh one, it's a longer track and it's more interesting. If eastleigh is easier to get to (probably tbh) then we can do that, it's the same company either way.

Oooh... mark me down as a "yes". I haven't gone go-karting in quite a while. There's also a similar establishment for modified lawnmower driving in Eastleigh, though I don't know how good that one is.

I considered trying to hold a birthday event this weekend, then decided that was a bloody silly idea. Everyone, predictably, has organized other places to be - it being a Bank Holiday on Monday. I decided to just head home and visit the parentals instead. I'll consider scheduling piss-ups and hijinks later in the week/month/year when more people are available.

On that note, I propose we have a Warbeck-flavoured social sometime soon. I for one haven't seen either the Jimbly or Cheesester in a while and it would be nice to confirm that I'm not yet conversing with entirely virtual entities. You both still have some approximation to analogue/physical forms, yes? When are persons, various, available next? Pimped garden tool racing is optional.
